ABOUT THE GRANT 

The Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) has been launched by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism & Creative Economy to support the growth and sustainability of Nigeria’s creative and cultural industries. CEDF provides a mix of grants, affordable loans, and equity/quasi-equity to creative professionals and businesses at various stages.

• Phase 1 
  • Over $100,000 (Mature Projects & Businesses)
  • Deadline: May 30, 2025
  • Funding Disbursement Begins: January 2026
• Phase 2 
  • Under $100,000 (MSMEs & Startups)
  • Deadline: September 1, 2025
  • Funding Disbursement Begins: April 2026

ELIGIBILITY 

Open to individuals, businesses, and organizations operating in the Nigerian creative economy, including:

• Film and Television
• Music and Entertainment
• Fashion and Textiles
• Gaming and Animation
• Visual Arts and Photography
• Publishing and Literature
• Tourism and Cultural Heritage

APPLICATION REQUIREMENT 

• Application Requirements:
• Business proposal or project plan
• Financial projections
• IP documents (where applicable)
• Additional documents depending on funding type:
  • Pitch deck (for equity)
  • Impact statement (for grants)
